A Marshmallow World, lyrics by Carl Sigman & music by Peter De Rose arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. This is cute little popular song from the late 1940s about wintertime or more particularly snow itself. The arrangement is intermediate level in difficulty and suitable for wintertime events including Christmas although it is not exclusively a Christmas song. 

Lift Up Your Heads, O Ye Gates - from Messiah by George Frideric Handel transcribed for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet with optional Organ. This is an Intermediate level work from Part II of Handel’s Messiah and appropriate for Easter as well as many other Religious Services. The Organ part while optional, enhances the arrangement.

Cortege, for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet This is and advanced transcription of Korsakov’s march and is practical for numerous performance applications.

“The Cascades” transcribed here for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet, is another one of Scott Joplin's most popular rags.

Royal Garden Blues for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet is a well know and readily recognizable Dixieland classic. This arrangement is suitable for professional musicians and more experienced ensembles.

Basin Street Blues written by Spencer Williams, first published in 1926 and made famous by a Louis Armstrong recording in 1928 is a Dixieland favorite. This arrangement for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet features solo sections by all in the ensemble and a fun read for the professional Quartet while still being accessible to younger or less experienced musicians.

This is a lovely and popular song by George and Ira Gershwin and first apart of the Broadway musical Girl Crazy. The arrangement of this timeless jazz standard is advanced intermediate to early advanced with a playing time of approximately 3:30.

Chôro No. 1 (Typico) By Heitor Villa-Lobos transcribed here Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. Written originally for Classical Guitar this Tango-ish piece translates well to chamber groups! 

 

Pavane, Op. 50 by Gabriel Fauré for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. This beautiful work from the Impressionistic period ebbs and flows through a series of harmonic and melodic climaxes, conjuring a cool, somewhat haunting elegance. It is suitable for a variety of performance applications and is of Advanced Intermediate to Easy Advanced level difficulty.
“Arrival / Entrance of the Queen of Sheba” from George Frederick Handel’s Solomon for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. This is an advanced piece and a great deal of fun to play.

 
First Suite for Military Band in Eb, Op. 28/a by Gustav Holst transcribed here for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. The three movements are: I. Chaconne - II. Intermezzo - III. March. This is an early advanced to advanced performance level transcription.

The four movements of the suite are: 1.March: Morris Dance, Swansea Town, Claudy Banks- II. Song Without Words - III. Song of the Blacksmith - IV. Fantasia on the "Dargason". I’ve Found a New Baby, Music by Spencer Williams and Lyrics by Jack Palmer for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet and arranged by Kenneth Abeling.  This is an advanced arrangement of one of the most popular Dixieland charts of all time and a must for your Dixieland library!! 

Antonio Vivaldi’s very popular Concerto in D Major RV 93. Originally written for Lute, Violin, Cello and Harpsichord, this selection takes on an entirely new life in this arrangement for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet and Organ by Kenneth Abeling.  The movements are: I. Allegro - II. Largo - III. Allegro. This is an easier advanced piece and suitable for both general performance, in its entirety or in parts, and for secular as well as sacred settings.

Originally written for the vihuela, this theme and variations has been adapted here for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, String Quartet and Woodwind Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. This Spanish, Renaissance era selection is a more advanced piece and a little tricky, but fun to play and showcases the entire ensemble!.

In this very beautiful piece, and in typical Spanish fashion, Albéniz makes use of relative and parallel minor and major keys to create his landscape.
