We Have No Bananas, Lyrics & Music by Frank Sliver & Irving Cohn for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet and arranged by Kenneth Abeling.  This is a moderate level arrangement of one of the most popular & comedic novelty songs from the early 1920s!

Trio Sonata in C Major RV 82 by Antonio Vivaldi and arranged for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, String Quartet and Woodwind Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. This piece was originally written for Flute, Lute and continuo and later transcribed for Guitar and Chamber Orchestra and Harpsichord in A Major.  This is a more advanced arrangement but not totally out of the musical reach of less experienced ensembles and may be performed without the Organ.

This is a collection of Six Pavanes by Luis de Milán originally written for the vihuela and transcribed here for Clarinet Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. These pavanes from the Renaissance period are suitable for general performance, and sacred events. They are for the most part moderately easy with a few moderately difficult passages. Additionally, they make an excellent introduction to the Renaissance period in music and the use of different meters.

La Cucaracha arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling. This selection is actually three separate arrangements of the very popular Mexican Folk Song in one to meet any performance need. The first is an easier advanced level theme and variations in 4/4 with a total playing time of approximately 3:25 followed by two more traditional and intermediate level arrangements of the song. The first in 3/4 and the second in 4/4.

El Jarabe Tapatío or “Mexican Hat Dance” for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet arranged by Kenneth Abeling is a Mexican/Mariachi favorite. This arrangement is fun to play and gives all members of the ensemble a chance to shine!  It is suitable for professional musicians to somewhat more experienced ensembles.

 
Cielito Lindo is a Mexican classic, arranged here for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling, and is suitable for many festive occasions. This is an easy to intermediate level arrangement but useful to advanced ensembles and nearly all audiences will recognize this priceless melody.

This is another beautiful Sonata by Marcello and is likewise programmable for a variety of sacred and secular occasions in movements, or in its entirety. Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber from String Quartet, Op.11 transcribed here for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling. Arguably one of Samuel Barber’s best-known works, this piece has been used in several Movies and TV Shows, perhaps most notably the 1986 Academy Award Winning movie “Platoon”. This beautiful but mournful piece is suitable for general performance, Worship Services, Funerals or other sad and reflective events. While not technically difficult, it is emotionally exhaustive to play.
