“You Took Advantage of Me”, Music by Richard Rogers & Lyrics by Lorenz Hart for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet arr. Ken Abeling.  This is an advanced arrangement of an all time Show Tune turned Dixieland favorite that will showcase your entire ensemble.

Almost Like Being in Love, music by Frederick Loewe and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. This cute show tune was originally written for the 1947 musical Brigadoon and has since been covered by numerous artists and of course the closing number in the movie “Groundhog Day”.

Chôro No. 1 (Typico) By Heitor Villa-Lobos transcribed here Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. Written originally for Classical Guitar this Tango-ish piece translates well to chamber groups!

Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling.  This is the final installment in a series of popular African American Spirituals.  It is an easier advanced level arrangement and is appropriate for all religious services and Black History events.

Irving Berlin’s “Always” from Christmas Holiday arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling.  This lovely song is appropriate for various occasions including Weddings and Christmas and the arrangement is of intermediate level difficulty.

Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling.  This is a more contemporary arrangement of yet another ageless African American Spiritual.  It is an Intermediate level arrangement and is appropriate for all religious services and Black History events.

El Choclo (Tango Criolo) is a very popular Argentinian tango written by Angel Villoldo and arranged here Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling. This is an advanced intermediate to easier advanced arrangement, gives every member a chance to shine and a lot of fun to play.

Sabre Dance from the Ballet “Gayane” or “Gayanah” by Aram Khachaturian arranged here for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling.  This is an easier advanced arrangement of one Khachaturian’s most memorable and recognizable works.

“Georgia on My Mind”, Words by Stuart Gorrell & Music by Hoagy Carmichael for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet arr. Ken Abeling.  This is an easier advanced to advanced arrangement of Hoagy Carmichael’s tribute to his home state.  While there are some challenging sections, the tempo and the way it lays should make it accessible to many ensembles.

Pineapple Rag, transcribed here for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling, is one of Scott Joplin's most popular rags. Audiences may recognize this melody from the Academy Award winning movie The Sting.

Gymnopédies 1-3 by Erik Satie arranged here for Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling.  This is a loyal transcription to all three elegantly simple pieces considered to be some of the most relaxing and pensive pieces ever written!  It is appropriate for general performance as well as Religious services and Weddings.

“The Shadow of Your Smile”, Words by Paul Francis Webster and Music by Johnny Mandel arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling.  This charming song was first introduced in the 1965 film “The Sandpiper” and won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year as well as the Academy Award for Best Original Song.  This is an Intermediate to advanced Intermediate arrangement.

Embraceable You by Ira & George Gershwin for Clarinet Quartet arranged by Kenneth Abeling. This is a lovely and popular song by George and Ira Gershwin and first apart of the Broadway musical Girl Crazy. The arrangement of this timeless jazz standard is advanced intermediate to early advanced playing level.

Amazing Grace! How Sweet the Sound, Lyrics by John Newton set to the hymn tune New Britain for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling. This is perhaps the most well-known Hymn of all time reflecting Newton’s path to Christianity and prayer for forgiveness as a former Slave trader. This more contemporary and moderately easy level arrangement is appropriate for a variety of religious events.

Broadway Medley by George M. Cohan and arranged for Brass Quintet, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Saxophone Quintet, String Quartet, Woodwind Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet by Kenneth Abeling. This is an intermediate level arrangement of three Broadway favorites to include; Forty-Five Minutes form Broadway, Harrigan and Give my regards to Broadway.
